When I purchased this guitar it had the two-hole bell shaped truss rod cover with the ridges on the side, but I changed it out to a Gibson brand cover. The bell-shape cover with thin white band and ridges sticking out from the side are found on mid-1980s to early 1990s models. I have seen Burnys like this one listed as "Slash" models because of the lack of a pickguard There is no serial number on it (which is very common with Burnys), but I found the following information about dating Burny guitars on the web: "The Gibson bell-shaped covers are found on 1970s to early 1980s models. From what I can tell this guitar is probably a late 80's or early 90's model. ![]() that's part of the prob - i dunno, nor do i think he's really sure - this is a quote from his ad: " Burny guitars are imported from Japan and some call them "lawsuit" guitars. ![]()
